I was born and raised in the Huntington Park area of Los Angeles County. Since my youth, I have enjoyed a profound witness of Jesus Christ as my Savior and the Redeemer of all the world. I am active in my church and have enjoyed leadership callings and a variety of service opportunities over the years. Katherine and I preside over a family of ten children,12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
I have a professional leadership background with over 32 years in Law enforcement and supervision and training of many at-risk youth. As a Detective II on the Los Angeles Department, I orchestrated teams; investigating robberies, burglaries and homicides.
As a Counselor 1, II, and III at the Utah Division of Youth Corrections I created and implemented innovative programs to motivate youth, some incarcerated for charges such as sex crimes, or other crimes against people, including murder. Then I worked with other youth were incarcerated for a variety of crimes against property. I also supervised “at risk youth” who were outside of state custody and in the Iron County Youth facility. Here my duties involved the supervision of youth on parole and training them in areas such as thinking errors and being responsible to self and others. The overall goal being to better their lives so they could more productive in society and avoid future conflict with the law.
My professional pursuits
and experiences have ingrain
ed in me a respect for everyone’s freedom and he’s had opportunities to promote constitutional values across this great nation, and have traveled with Dr. Cleon Skousen in the Making of America Conferences, experiences giving me an appreciation of our constitutional government.
Now let’s talk about my training and what I do.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Statesmanship and Political Science from George Wythe College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Because of my background I am very experienced in working with others to change thinking errors and overcome the pain that comes with them.
I have also served on the Advisory Committee for the Golden Eaglets International program for the Glowing Hearty Society in its inception, creating the Civics Department curriculum; and I am a CEO, serving on the Golden Council of twelve and Utah Governing Council. This has been a great joy in my life.
Since I served in the Marine Corps Reserve during Vietnam, I am very interested and concerned for my brothers and sisters in arms. I am involved in the Marine Corps League, serving veterans and charity organizations. My interest in veterans has motivated me to research and develop programs addressing and benefiting their needs.
I can help you with what you are struggling with and how to overcome it.
